PAUL GLITZ UPDATE - 06.10.2008

Hey to everyone whos been checking out the site, its my turn to let you all know what we have been doing for the last couple of months. First we went on tour with rock n roll legends The Wildhearts and made it through alive.....just, the Wildhearts and Therapy were great bands and people to be on tour with and we enjoyed every minute of it, and thanks to everyone who got there early to check us out we hope we didn't disappoint. We also released the Here Comes A Close Up EP, our first release on our new home Infectious/Atlantic and were really pleased with the response that we recieved from it. We all are stll recovering from the download festival at Donington last weekend where we played a rocking set and then set about trying and almost succeeding to out party legendary party animal Nikki Sixx for the rest of the weekend. At the moment we are all writing and trying to get everything ready for our album we will be flying out to LA(where else?) to record it in june/july before heading back for the T-in the park and the Leeds/Reading festivals so it's an exciting time for everyone involved, the next single will be out in september and the next gig is a kerrang radio launch night we play at the Birmingham Academy on june the 23rd along with johnny panic and the 22 20s, so we'd love to see you all there. And thanks again to everyone who's been so supportive whether its on this website or in person at the gigs we all really appreciate it and are looking forward to seeing you all again. See you soon, love paul xx

NIC GLITZ UPDATE - 06.10.2008

Hey there, just thought i'd let you know how things have been going and what we've been up to. Hope you all like the site and remember to play nicely on the message board. We've finished making the video for 'Here Comes A Close Up' which you can check out in the audio / video section, but be warned, we are naked in it so prepare yourself before watching it. The EP will be out on April 26th, with four tracks on, 'Here Comes A Close Up', 'Gimme What's Yours', 'You Need You', and a demo of 'Last Minute'. Tell everyone you know to buy at least five copies, you'll be able to sell them for thousands in years to come.

We've just finished touring with a diverse collection of bands including Jet, The Vines and David Lee Roth - the man's a legend. Cheers to anybody who came down to those gigs and hopefully we'll see you all and more on The Wildhearts tour which starts in mid April. We're taking some time off to write at the moment but we're sneaking out for a gig at the Tunbridge Wells Forum on March 27th, where we'll be playing some new songs, even though I know you can't be bored of the others yet.

Anyway, that's all for now but we'll keep you updated on the crazy world of rock + roll the Glitz way.

Love
Nic Glitz

WELCOME TO THE SITE! - 06.10.2008

We thought we'd kick things off with a little on what we've been up to and how we got where we are now... Following the release of our debut single “Do You Love Yourself?” on Alan McGee’s Poptones label , we signed a long term record deal before Christmas with Eastwest records in the UK, probably the hottest label in the country, and Atlantic records in the US, probably the most respected label in the history of recorded music. We recently recorded our next single, “Here Comes A Close Up” with Michael Patterson, whose credits include Beck, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, Limp Bizkit and Puff Daddy(!). This will be released around late March, watch this space for further details, the video for the single was shot this week and will be available to see on the website as soon as it is ready. The band have a string of dates coming up through February and into march, playing with acts as diverse as The Wildhearts, Jet, The Killers, Seafood and Dave Lee Roth, check out the live page for more details. We will see you soon! Lots of love, The Glitterati xxx
